- Mind your own business.
- Work to learn, not just to earn.
The week
| Day 1 | Read the summary. Five key ideas and where the book overreaches. |
| Day 2 | Sort what you own into two columns. List the main things you own or pay for and mark each one as an asset or a liability by Kiyosaki's definition. Bad day: Write down one thing you own and whether it puts money in or takes money out each month. |
| Day 3 | Draw your cash flow. Sketch where last month's money came from and where it went, using Kiyosaki's simple flow of income, expenses, assets and liabilities. Bad day: Write last month's income and total spending side by side on a sticky note. |
| Day 4 | Pay yourself first, once. Move a small amount into savings or an investment account before you pay any bill this week. Bad day: Open your banking app and set up the transfer screen for a small amount. |
| Day 5 | List skills worth learning. Write down two skills that would make you more valuable at work or in a side project, and one way to learn each. Bad day: Write one skill you'd like to learn and one place you could practice it. |
| Day 6 | Ask someone how they built assets. Have a short conversation with someone you know who owns a business, rental or other income-producing asset. Bad day: Send one person a message asking how they got their first income-producing asset. |
| Day 7 | Set a monthly asset check. Put a monthly reminder in your calendar to review your two columns and your cash flow. Bad day: Create a repeating monthly reminder titled “Asset check.” |
