The week
| Day 1 | Read the summary. Five key ideas and where the book overreaches. |
| Day 2 | Spot five principles in the wild. Find five examples today of the principles being used on you, in ads, emails, shops, or apps, and name each one. Bad day: Open your inbox and find one example of scarcity or social proof. |
| Day 3 | Give first. Do something genuinely helpful for someone you work with, with no request attached, and note what happens over the following week. Bad day: Send one person a link or tip you think will genuinely help them. |
| Day 4 | Get yourself to commit. Write down one goal you're struggling with and tell one person about it, out loud or in writing. Bad day: Write your goal by hand on a sticky note and put it where you'll see it. |
| Day 5 | Use honest social proof. If you're asking people to do something this week, add one true piece of evidence that others like them already do it. Bad day: Find one real testimonial or statistic you could use in your next request. |
| Day 6 | Find common ground. Before your next important conversation, find two genuine things you have in common with the other person and mention one. Bad day: Write down one thing you share with someone you'll talk to this week. |
| Day 7 | Build your defenses. Write a short personal rule for each principle, to use when you notice it being used against you. Bad day: Write one defense rule for the principle you fall for most. |
